Description

The purpose of the senior business analyst role is to lead, coordinate and oversee analysis and designs related to development projects which include analysing user requirements, designing and documenting the solution. Senior business analysts are responsible for the definition of business requirements and specifications which are used to build applications as part of the system. They are responsible for ensuring that the developed software conforms to the documented requirements. The role requires collaboratively working with clients and other stakeholders to understand their needs and goals and translate these needs into requirements. The role also requires mentoring and guidance to junior analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Functional specifications
  • Analyse end user needs and liaise with clients to document requirements for software development.
  • Document the requirements, including the business rules and processes.
  • Notify product owners when general requirements surface in requests for local software development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software development, or a related field.
